Coaching by itself can be a challenge. When you add in the idea that one generation can be coaching another, it adds a whole new layer to the complexity. We never know what kinds of things those around us or on our teams have gone through or how they were raised. Each generation is unique and brings it's own set of skills or motivations to the table.
This course was created as a pair to a part one, which covered Lifting Others up and supporting those around you. I wanted to contrast that concept, because we often hear about how we should lift those around us up to do great things. While I agree completely with that notion, I also think it's important to understand that you should also lift yourself up in the process.
So many of us are taught to help those around us but never taught how to properly take a compliment and appropriately speak on our own behalf. Especially without feeling like we're bragging or being full of ourselves.
A brief walkthrough of how to set up your own Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Master. This works wonderfully to save time and effort, if you're using a specific branding throughout your project.

Here is an example page that could easily be remade into any type of flyer. I've often used a similar layout for Quality Assurance templates, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), or written walk throughs.
This project was created as an interactive activity for my collaborative writing group. One of the characters that I write for was undergoing a pivotal point in her storyline. I wanted those who were helping me, by adding their characters to that part of her story, to be able to experience what they were doing in the story itself. So I created this mini game that would act as part of the puzzle for them to know what was going on and where we were going next. It was a lot of fun and different for them to get to 'see' what they were doing for a change.
